Hi, I'm Sally!
Cancer knows no boundaries.
My entire career has been dedicated to helping cancer patients, beginning as a radiation therapist. Then, I transitioned to the business side of cancer care by assisting cancer programs across the United States, teaching radiation oncology at the University level, co-founding a nationally-recognized oncology revenue cycle company, and speaking both nationally and internationally on the topic of cancer.
Then came the cancer diagnosis. The enormity of the emotional impact that a cancer diagnosis has on any given person was suddenly very real to me: the challenge of fitting into the world that hadn’t changed when I drastically changed.
This is when I knew my work wasn’t done.
There are 17 million cancer survivors in the US and over one half of them are of working age. These survivors need to keep working for a multitude of reasons and their employers need to keep them employed. I co-founded Wheelhouse to bridge gaps in the cancer journey for those diagnosed, their families and their work families.
Let’s talk about cancer.
